Rio de Janeiro: Indian sprinter Dutee Chand on Saturday blamed odd timing for her poor performance at the ongoing Rio Olympics.

It may be mentioned that Dutee failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the 100 metre event on Saturday.

The Indian sprinter, in her tweet, said ‘It was not her moment’.

"If the event would have been held in the evening, I would have performed well but it was held at 2300 hours which is my sleeping time,” Chand said in an audio message released to the media. Adding, ‘I was nervous while on the track at my debut Olympics’.

She finished 7th in women's 100m heat with a timing of 11.69 seconds.

A weaver’s daughter from Odhisa, was optimistic for the next Olympics.
