New Delhi: The marathon double ton worked for Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara as he reached a career-best second ranking with 861 points in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Test rankings for batsmen.

New Delhi: The marathon double ton worked for Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara as he reached a career-best second ranking with 861 points in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Test rankings for batsmen.

Following the stupendous performance in the first three Tests against Australia, Ravindra Jadeja remained at the top spot while star Indian spinner R Ashwin dropped a place to No. 2 in the rankings of Test bowlers.

Pujara had perfectly exhibited his excellence by facing 525 balls for his 202-run inning. He had decorated his double century with 21 flourishing boundaries.

Jadeja has claimed 21 wickets so far in the Test series.

It may be mentioned here India skipper Virat Kohli is placed at no. 4 spot.
