Kuala Lumpur: Indian shuttler B Sai Praneeth on Sunday won his maiden Super Series Badminton title beating K Srikanth in all-Indian men's singles final here.

He took 54 minutes to defeat Srikanth 17-21, 21-17, 21-12 in a hard fought clash.

Earlier, World No. 30 Praneeth had won Canada Open Grand Prix. He had also made place in the finals of Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold this year.

"It is always difficult to play someone with whom you play everyday. I am very happy to win today. The way I played in the tournament, I'm very happy. The support here for the Indians has also been very nice," Praneeth said after his victory.
