New Delhi: The New Zealand cricket team canceled the tour of Pakistan citing security, after which the England Cricket Board also canceled the proposed tour of Pakistan. Due to these two news, there has been disappointment among the players and fans of Pakistan. But in the meantime a news has come to the fore, which the entire Pakistan Board was stunned to hear.

Pakistani policemen ate biryani of 27 lakhs:

According to a news published on the Pakistani website, during the eight-day stay of the New Zealand team in Pakistan, the policemen engaged in their security ate biryani worth Rs 27 lakh. The police of Islamabad was deployed for the security of the Kiwi team, in which many senior police officers were also present. The New Zealand team stayed at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad for this tour.

Full security arrangements were made there for the players of the Kiwi team. 500 policemen of Islamabad Capital Territory Police were present to keep a watch on them and the food bill received by these policemen for these eight days was Rs 27 lakhs. According to the report of Anand Bazar Patrika, every policeman used to eat a full meal twice a day and most of the time in his food was biryani and the price of the same biryani is being told as Rs 27 lakh.

New Zealand team canceled the series:

The New Zealand team, which went to Pakistan, was to play its first ODI match at the Rawalpindi Stadium. But shortly before the toss, the team announced the cancellation of the entire tour. After the tour was cancelled, New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said: "I think it will be a blow to the PCB which has been a wonderful host but the safety of the players is paramount and we believe that this is a responsible option for this." On this tour, the Kiwi team was to play 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches.
