Muzaffarnagar: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 auction brought some good news for Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh as a young lad from the district has found a place in the much popular Kings XI Punjab franchise.

The 19-year-old cricketer, namely Siddhant Gaur, was bought by KXIP at the base prise Rs 10 lakh. He got the chance in the cash-rich league at the very young age due to a string of match-winning performances while playing for the ICC XI.

Siddhant passed his High School from Shardein Public School here and completed Intermediate from Jawahar Vedic Public School.

He is training at the Victoria Park Bhamashah Cricket Academy under Coach Mohammed Saifi since past three years. Siddhant credits his hard work for his appointment in the KXIP franchise.

The people of the district are delighted with the contract as they believe that Siddhant will bring fame to the district with his batting prowess.
