New Delhi: Clearing the air about MS Dhoni's future in the Indian Cricket team, head coach Ravi Shastri on Friday said that the most successful Indian skipper is not even 'half finished yet' and has every chance of playing 2019 World Cup.

Terming Mahi as living legend, Shastri said that his presence in the dressing room inspires youngsters.

"MS Dhoni is a massive influence on the team. He is a living legend in the dressing room and an ornament to the game. By no means or by any stretch of imagination he is finished or even half finished yet," said Ravi Shastri.

Dhoni's automobile is powered on a high gear in the ongoing limited overs series versus Sri Lanka. He has remained unbeaten in every occassion he came on to bat with scores of 45, 67 and 49 respectively.

Shastri said that one must not doubt MSD's fanciness with the bat as he has become an old wine which is getting tastier with time.

"If anyone thinks so, they are mistaken and they have another one coming. There are in for some surprises. The old dog has plenty to offer," he said.

"He is the best in the country. Would you look to replace Sunil Gavaskar when he was 36 years old or Sachin Tendulkar when he was 36? Dhoni is still the best in the business, so what is the need to even entertain those thoughts," he added.

It may be mentioned here that Virat Kohli led India will lock horns with hosts Sri Lanka in the final ODI of the five-match series on Sunday.
