MS Dhoni finally has something to say about Chennai Super Kings!

Chennai: After a two-year long gap, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen donning Chennai Super Kings (CSK) colours in the inaugural ceremony of the second edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

The ceremony also acted as a promotional event for CSK where its players including Matthew Hayden, Mohit Sharma, Pawan Negi, S. Badrinath and L. Balaji were seen sporting yellow colours.

Thanking CSK fans, MS Dhoni said that the fan following of Chennai Super Kings has increased in the two-year gap.

"Apart from Team India’s blue, I think the yellow is pretty special. Fans have stayed with us and the love and affection was always there. It will get amplified when CSK return to play their first game here next year. Thanks a lot for being true cricket fans. The long wait is over," said Mahi in the event.

Advising youngsters of going to basics of Cricket instead of hurrying up for T20 format, he said they should start with state level and then take that to Duleep, Deodhar and India A level.

“Tournaments such as TNPL are a great platform. But take it slow and steady. Don’t aim to play for India straightaway. The first aim should be to get into the state side, do well and slowly progress to Duleep and Deodhar and then India A level,” said Dhoni.

Welcoming Mahi, Chennai Super Kings also applauded Dhoni's return.
