Messi withdraws his brief retirement, returns to national duty

New Delhi: After a short lived retirement, Argentina football superstar Lionel Messi on Friday announced his return to the national team.

The 29-year-old announced his retirement after Argentina faced the defeat from Chile in Copa America football league.

“The national team is suffering from a lot of problem and I am announcing my return to help the team come out of it,” Messi said in a press statement. Adding, he want to help the team in any way he could.

“Instead of fixing the problems from outside, I would like to finish them from inside,” the statement further read.

Messi thanked his fans for assured that he will bring a smile on their face very soon.
