New Delhi: Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan, who sustained injury during the second Test match, has been replaced with Karun Nair for the third game against New Zealand.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday confirmed that Dhawan sustained minor fracture on his left hand.

"The All-India senior selection committee have named batsman Karun Nair as replacement for injured opener Shikhar Dhawan in the Indian team. Dhawan has been ruled out of the third Test of the series against New Zealand after he sustained a minor fracture on his left hand," BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke said in a statement.

Meanwhile, India has already won the series by clinching two out of the three test matches against New Zealand and hence, the third game would only be a pride match for Kiwis.
