Junior Hockey World Cup: India reaches quarters, outshines England

Lucknow: Indian Hockey team has ensured its place in the quarters of the Junior Hockey World Cup beating England 5-3 in Pool D match at 11th FIH Junior Hockey World Cup at Major Dhyan Chand Astroturf stadium.

Shining in a big game, India posted 5-3 win over English team on Saturday.

England began the goal proceedings hitting first in the 10th minute of the game. Then, Parvinder Singh, Armaan Qureshi and Harmanpreet Singh came like a hurricane scoring three consecutive goals in 35th, 37th and 45th minutes of the game.

England, however, reduced the goal difference with Will Calnan (63rd) and Edward Horler (67th) hitting goals in the final minutes.
