Junior Hockey World Cup: India into quarters, beats SA 2-1

New Delhi: Continuing its dominance, India on Monday entered quarters of Junior Hockey World Cup topping its pool. India defeated South Africa 2-1 in a pre-quarter game at the Major Dhyan Chand Astroturf stadium.

With three back-to-back wins, India ended the league matches on a high note.

The first goal came from Indian skipper Harjeet Singh in the 11^th minute. South Africa also opened its account hitting its first in the 27^th minute. Lastly, Mandeep Singh’s reverse flick in the 55^th minute helped India to register another win in the contest.

The quarter-finals will be played from Thursday.
