Rio de Janeiro: Indian Badminton pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa faces an early setback in the women’s doubles event in Group A clash against Japan in the Rio Olympics at Rio de Janeiro of Brazil.

Japan duo Ayaka Takahashi and Misaki Matsumoto has given a stupendous performance beating Indian pair by 21-15, 21-10 in the opening encounter

The 36 minute-game witnessed the clueless Indian pair against the World No. 1 Japan.

Indian pair will play Dutch duo Eefje Muskens and Selena Piek in their second group clash on August 12.
