IPL 2023: Arjun Tendulkar Makes IPL Debut For Mumbai Indians Like Father Sachin Tendulkar, WATCH

Son of legendary cricket Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar is set to make his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for the Mumbai Indians against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Sachin and Arjun are the first father-son pair to play in the IPL. Interestingly, both have made their debut for the Mumbai Indians. Arjun joined the Mumbai Indians back in 2021.

Arjun was bought by the Mumbai franchise for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2022 mega-auction. He has played 7 first-class, 9 T20 games and 7 List-A matches in his domestic career.

Fans on social media could not keep calm Arjun has finally made his debut in the IPL.

Regular skipper Rohit Sharma was missing from the starting eleven of MI as Suryakumar Yadav informed he has a stomach bug. Rohit could be introduced in the game as a 'Impact Player'. Suryakumar Yadav was given the duty to lead the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in absence of Rohit.

Surya won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Arjun has 12 wickets so far in the T20 career with an economy rate of 6.60. Arjun's specialty is his economy rate as the people who have seen in up close believe he is a very smart cricketer. In the first class format, Arjun has 12 wickets with an economy rate of 3.42 and has also scored 223 runs including a century with 120 as his highest score.
