Indore: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is once again up against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL 2018), this time at a neutral venue at the Holkar Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.

In the previous rain affected match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, KXIP had outclassed KKR by 9 wickets with openers Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle ripping their bowling apart and chasing down 125-run target (D/L method 13 overs) in just 11.1 overs.

KKR would be hoping to not only avenge their defeat but also to stay alive in the race of playoffs.

KXIP has been doing well in the tournament so far but has yet not found consistency. They have won 6 out of 10 matches played so far. On the other hand, KKR is struggling to get among the top four after they were handed a thumping defeat by Mumbai Indians (MI) in their previous encounter.

KKR has won 5 matches out of 11 played so far.

Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle have been the most consistent performers with the bat for KXIP this season while their bowling has been fine.

KKR on the other hand is relying much on Sunil Narine and Andre Russell apart from the slog over blitz of captain Dinesh Karthik.
