IPL 2016: SRH hurts KKR in eliminator, win by 22 runs

New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad strengthened their position for the trophy of IPL 2016 by registering a thumping win against Kolkata Knight Riders by 22 runs at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium here on Wednesday.

Chasing a target of 163 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders have been blown away as were at 140/8 after the completion of their 20 overs.

KKR batsmen Manish Pandey (36) and Surya Kumar Yadav (23) tried to surpass SRH bowling attack but failed against Warner and brigade.

SRH bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar did a magical spell with figures 4-0-19-3, which helped his team to roar against KKR.

Previously, Yuvraj Singh’s 44 runs off 30 balls helped Surnrisers script a total of 162 runs.

Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Suresh Raina led Gujarat Lions in Qualifier 2 on May 27 to seal their place for the finals against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
