Pune: In the ninth match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season 10, Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) will lock horns at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium here on Tuesday.

Both the teams – RPS and DD – lost their previous matches against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), respectively, though, DD showed a lot of grit in its unsuccessful effort, led by young Rishabh Pant.

Daredevils would still be hopeful of finding injured Quinton de Kock's replacement in Sam Billings, but they seem to be one of the most unsettled batting line-ups in the tournament because of an inexperienced bunch of batsmen.

After the 15-run defeat in their first match, DD batting mostly depends on Rishabh Pant, Sam Billings, Sanju Samson and Carlos Braithwaite. They, however, have batsmen like Aditya Tare, Karun Nair, Pat Cummins and Chris Morris, who can also prove handy on occasions.

On the bowling front, they have an impressive set of bowlers who include Zaheer Khan, Chris Morris, Pat Cummins and Amit Mishra. Shahbaz Nadeem is a precious asset of DD who has been performing well in the IPL over the years.

DD can also play Corey Anderson in this match as he would help in strengthening batting and bowling both.

Under the leadership of Steve Smith, Rising Pune Supergiant is also looking good, though, they lost their previous encounter because of some shaky batting by the top order.

Smith, as always, is looking in supreme touch and is scoring runs at a great strike rate. Opener Ajinkya Rahane who has already shown intentions of making full use of the powerplay overs, is also doing good at the top.

All-rounder Ben Stokes and Manoj Tiwary played crucial innings in the last match which helped RPS post a handsome total on the board against KXIP. They can also be considered as threat to the opposition.

The form of Mayank Agarwal and former captain MS Dhoni is still a major reason of concern as they have failed to fire in the first two matches of the razzamatazz tournament.

RPS would make sure to take full advantage of the home conditions as well as the crowd. With one win out of the two matches, RPS stands at fifth position in the points table, while Delhi Daredevils who lost the only match played, are at 7th position.

Sony Pictures network will telecast the match while hotstar.com and Hotstar mobile application will provide live streaming of the Rising Pune Supergiant vs Delhi Daredevils encounter from 8 pm onwards.
