IPL 10: RCB sets 158-run target for DD after Jadhav's blitzkrieg

Bengaluru: Following Kedar Jadhav's heroics, Royal Challengers Bangalore put up a total of 157 runs against Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premiere League match here on Saturday. This was DD's disciplined bowling which stopped RCB at a satisfactory score.

Considering the M Chinnaswamy pitch, it could have been an ideal target for DD if RCB's guns would have added some 20 more runs to its total.

Kedar Jadhav played an extraordinary knock of 37-ball 69-run which was laced with five fours and same sixes. With this kind of performance, he has shown Indian Cricket team selectors that he could prove a perfect finisher in the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Opting to bat, RCB faced an early blow in the form of destroyer Chris Gayle at 6. Skipper Shane Watson scored run-a-ball 24 before he was stumped by Rishabh Pant.

Mandeep Singh and Stuart Binny added 12 and 16 runs respectively before going back to the stands. Pawan Negi remained unbeaten at 12 after 20 overs. Chris Morris bowled out Tymal Mills for a duck in the final ball of RCB's inning.

For Delhi Daredevils, Morris was the leading wicket-taker with bowling figures of 3/21 while skipper Zaheer Khan claimed two wickets. Pat Cummins and Shahbaz Nadeem bagged one wicket each.

DD needs to chase down a total of 157 runs to win its inaugural IPL encounter.
