IPL 10 DD vs KXIP: Delhi puts 188 after Anderson's heroics

New Delhi: The fireworks of Corey Anderson in the final overs helped Delhi Daredevils put a big total of 188 runs against Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premiere League match at Feroz Shah Kotla here on Saturday.

Corey Anderson played a valuable knock of 39 runs for his side in just 22 deliveries. His quick-fire knock was decorated with three fours and three sixes.

After opting to bat, Delhi Daredevils was off to a good start with openers Sanju Samson and Sam Bilings sharing 53-run stand for the first wicket. Samson, who fall prey to Cariappa, was followed by out-of-form Karun Nair to the dug out. Nair got out for a duck.

Bilings played an important knock for Delhi and hit nine fours in his 55-run inning.

Rishabh Pant and Chris Morris also added some quick runs for the side but failed to extend their innings. Pant departed at 15 and Morris' 16-run knock was ended by Sandeep Sharma.

For KXIP, Varun Aaron picked two wickets. Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Axar Patel and KC Cariappa claimed single wicket each.

KXIP needs 189 runs to win this match.
