Fort Lauderdale: India lost to West Indies by one run following skipper MS Dhoni's wicket in the final ball in the first Cricket T20 of the two-match series on Saturday at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Florida of USA.

KL Rahul's unbeaten ton 110 went in vain. He hit 12 fours and 5 sixes in his innings.

Rohit Sharma also gave India a solid start scoring quick-fire 62 runs off just 28 deliveries.

It was a bad day for Dhoni as despite playing a valuable knock of 43 runs off 25 balls, he failed to register a win for India.

Chase master Virat Kohli departed early scoring 16 runs while Ajinkya Rahane (7) becomes prey of Dwayne Bravo's tremendous catch.

For West Indies, Bravo picked two important wickets.

Earlier, Windies was invited to bat first and scored 245 runs in its first innings.

The 2nd T20 between India and West Indies will be played on Sunday.

Brief Score: WI: 245/6 (Evin Lewis 100; Jadeja 2/39)

Ind: 244/4 (Rahul 110*; Bravo 2/37)
