New Delhi: Indian opener KL Rahul, who was suffering from a hamstring injury, is all set to make a comeback to the squad in the ongoing tour of England. He had faced hamstring injury in the first Test match against New Zealand in Kanpur.

He will join Virat Kohli’s brigade as 16th member for the second Test encounter of the five-match series at DR. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, beginning November 17.

“The All India Senior Selection Committee has decided to add India batsman KL Rahul to the Indian squad ahead of the second Test of the Paytm Test Series - 2016 between India and England to be played at Vizag from November 17, 2016. Rahul has fully recovered from his right hamstring injury and would be joining the squad today (November 15, 2016),” said Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Meanwhile, Rahul is in fine touch playing knocks of 76 and 106 runs for Karanataka in Ranji Trophy game. With Gautam Gambhir failing to prove his ground, Rahul could be given place in the playing 11.

The Rajkot Test match of IndvsEng finished in a draw with series levelled at 1-1.
