IndvsAus: Smith yet again becomes India's barrier, hits 19th ton

Ranchi: Strengthening Australia's stand, captain Steven Smith has yet again proven why he is the top ranked Test batsman. It is his 19th ton which came in a crucial time when Australia was four down in the third of the four Test match series at JSCA International Stadium Complex here on Thursday.

Smith (103 off 227, 11 fours) has become the 3rd fastest live wire to reach the landmark of 5000 runs in 53 Tests.

Smith has yet again become a barrier for Virat Kohli and brigade. Glenn Maxwell is contributing well with his captain at 74.

After facing some early blows, Australia is looking comfortable in the game. Renshaw (44) had hit some runs but handed over his wicket to Indian pacer Umesh Yadav. Warner (19), Marsh (2)and Handscomb (19) were the others to depart.
