Rio de Janeiro: Even the Indian women’s hockey team failed to wonders in the ongoing Rio Olympics and tasted a defeat from Great Britain by 3-0.

Giselle Ansley of Great Britain scored the first goal for her country in the second quarter of first half while the second goal was made by Nicole White.

Alexendra Dansan penetrated winning goal for Great Britain.

The Indian women failed to trade any goal against their opponent.

The English girls lead went up to 3-0 and remained when the final hooter was blown.

Earlier, the Indian women’s team played an inspiring match against Japan in their first match.

It may be mentioned that the Indian contingent could not manage to win even a single medal in the ongoing summer games.

The third day in Rio Olympics was the most disappointing day for India after shooter Abhinav Bindra missed a medal by whisker, swimmers Sajan Prakash and Shivani Kataria failed to make into the quarterfinals and the same fate was witnessed by men’s hockey team.
