Mirpur: The Indian Cricket team on Tuesday cruised into the finals of Asia Cup T-20 tournament by defeating Sri Lanka with 5 wickets.

Star batsman Virat Kohli, who played a crucial innings of 50 runs was Man of the Match. All rounder Yuvraj Singh also played a knock of 35 runs in just 18 balls.

India are unbeaten in the tournament so far.

Scores in brief

India: 142 for 5 in 19.2 overs (Virat Kohli 56 not out, Yuvraj Singh 35; Nuwan Kulasekara 2/21).

Sri Lanka: 138 for 9 in 20 overs (Chamara Kapugedera 30; R Ashwin 2/26, Jasprit Bumrah 2/27, Hardik Pandya 2/26).

India-Lankans in T-20 so far:

  • Both the team have played nine T-20 matches so far.
  • India have won five out of nine matches.
