India wins third test match against West Indies; leads series by 2-0
Saint Lucia: A disciplined pace attack by Indian trio helped men in white to wrap up the third cricket test match against West Indies by 237 runs on Saturday.
India has now a lead of 2-0 in the four test match series against West Indies.
Indian bowlers Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar damaged the Caribbean batting order and scripted an easy win on the last day of this match. The hosts were all out on 108 runs after having given a rather tough target of 346 runs in probable 89 overs.
Until lunch, West Indies were 53/3 but they were bundled out for 108 runs in 47.3 overs. The win comes for India after a day was washed away due to rains and the last test match resulted in a draw.
Brief scores: India 353 (first innings) and 157/3 in second innings in 39 overs. Rahane 78, Sharma 41. Cummins 2/23.
