Ahead of the India vs England Chennai Test, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had confirmed that the paceman had soreness in knee and he had been advised rest and rehabilitation. Shami was scheduled to attend the rehabilitation camp in Bengaluru at the National Cricket Academy.
