India vs England: Practice sessions begin in Kanpur before first T20I

Kanpur: Ahead of the inaugural India vs England T20 game, practice session kick-started for both teams at Green Park stadium of Kanpur. After losing the Test and ODI series, England skipper Eoin Morgan will be looking to get back the momentum in the shortest format of the game.

England was seen enjoying the chilly weather of Kanpur while practicing. The sunbeams which came after biting cold and dense fog were energizing for the Englishmen.

Fans, outside the historic stadium, were seen cheering for their stars. Chants of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh were making Kanpur’s atmosphere more cricketing. The unmatchable anticipation of local fans made the players appreciate the love poured on them.

Green Park stadium, having a capacity of 45,000, was established in 1945 and has witnessed some of the most breathtaking matches of the history of Indian Cricket.

Team India will lock horns with England in the first T20 of the three-match series on January 26 with two changes in the side. Parvez Rasool and Amit Mishra have been given a chance in place of R Ashwin and R Jadeja.

The two key spinners of India are rested, eying the busy Test schedule in the coming months. Earlier, India defeated England in the five-match Test series 4-0 and in three-match ODI series 2-1.
