India beat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets; Seal series 2-0
Harare: India seal an eight-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the second One-Day International (ODI) played at Harare Sports club on Monday. With this win, the young Dhoni brigade has clinched the three-match series 2-0.
Chasing a low total of 127 runs, Openers Lokesh Rahul (33 runs) and Karun Nair (39 runs) gave a decent start to the team by adding 58 runs on the scoreboard. Rahul departed in the 15th over making way for Ambati Rayudu to come on to the crease.
Rayudu (41 not out) forged another 67-run second-wicket partnership to take India close to the victory. Manish Pandey (4) finished off the things in style with a boundary to covers.
For the hosts, none of the bowlers could trouble the Indian batsmen as all-rounders Chamu Chibhabha and Sikandar Raza managed to take one wicket each.
India vs Zimbabwe third ODI will be played on Wednesday.
