Ind vs Ban: Vijay, Pujara take India's total to 86/1 at Lunch

Hyderabad: Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara played sensibly to do the damage control for India after opener KL Rahul's early departure in the one-off cricket Test against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Thursday.

India was 86/1 with Vijay on 45 runs off 71 balls and Pujara on 39 runs off 87 balls when umpires called the lunch break.

India lost an early wicket in form of Rahul who was bowled by Taskin Ahmed in the first over of the game.

Vijay's 45 runs knock was laced with six fours while Pujara slammed four boundaries to score his 39 runs.

Earlier, India, after winning the toss, elected to bat first. This is Bangladesh's Test debut on Indian turf since it gained the 'Test' status in 2000.
