New Delhi: Three football teams have reached the last eight in the Euro Cup final—Wales, Polland and Portugal. Of the three, latter’s performance has been most disappointing. The team has many stars including Christiao Ronaldo but barring one it has drawn in all the other matches.

The first victory the team scored was on Saturday when it defeated Croatia. But the goal, the only one, was scored not by one of its stars but a substitute—that too at the dyeing moment.

It had drawn in all the previous matches. The first match it played against a new entrant was also drawn. What disappointed the fans most was Ronaldo’s performance in the second match against Austria.

In that match the team captain, Ronaldo, could not convert even a penalty into goal. In the light of its under-performance, nothing can be said about it with any certainty.
