England announces ODI, T20 squad, Eoin Morgan to lead

New Delhi: England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday announced the 15-member squad of England for ODI and T20 series against India, beginning next month.

The announcement marked the return of Eoin Morgan who will captain England in the limited over series. England has also recalled destructive opener Alex Hales for India series.

Citing security concerns, both Morgan and Hales had opted out of Bangladesh tour. England’s run machine Joe Root, who was rested for Bangladesh tour, has also been included for ODI and T20 series.

India and England will play three ODIs and three T20s from January 15.

ODI squad: Moeen Ali, Jonathan Bairstow, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan (capt), Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Chris Woakes

T20I squad: Moeen Ali, Jake Ball, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Eoin Morgan (capt), Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey.
