Nottingham: Winning the crucial toss, India elected to bowl first against England in first of the three-One Day International (ODI) series at the Trent Bridge here on Thursday.

Indian captain Virat Kohli has retained the same batting lineup from the T20I series with Lokesh Rahul and Suresh Raina finding place in the playing XI. On the bowling front, Umesh Yadav and Siddharth Kaul will be heading the pace attack while Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are the two spinners in the side.

Hardik Pandya is the only all-rounder playing in the side.

England has included Joe Root, Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes in the playing XI for the first ODI.

It may be recalled that this is the same ground where England had scored a record 481 runs against Australia in the recently concluded ODI series.

England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (c), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wk), Moeen Ali, David Willey, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood

India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Siddarth Kaul, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav
