Rio 2016: A six second miss for Indian rower Dattu Bhokanal

Rio de Janeiro: Indian rower Dattu Bhokanal was knocked out of the men’s single sculls event after he finished fourth on Tuesday evening at the Rio Olympics.

Dattu completed the event in 6:59.89 which was six seconds poorer than the third placed Natan Wegrzycki-Szymczyk of Poland.

Though Dattu will compete for the ranking but he does not have any chance left to win a medal in this tournament.

Dattu was third after the first 500m with a time of 1:38.65 but then dropped the pace and intensity.

Damir Martin of Croatia topped with time of 6:44.44 and Alan Campbell of Great Britain was second with time of 6:49.41.
