Birmingham: Rain gods have played spoilsport as rain interrupted play of India vs Pakistan game in Champions Trophy 2017 at Edgbaston stadium here on Sunday.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have provided the side a decent start as Men in Blue have scored 46 runs in 9.5 overs.

Rohit has hit four fours in his 25-run knock while Dhawan is looking good at 20.

Earlier, winning the toss, Pakistan invited Indian Cricket team to bat.

Indian team has preferred Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya over Mohd Shami and R Ashwin in the crucial game against arch-rivals.

Pitch report: The wicket is good and will remain batting friendly.
