Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday made it clear that child marathon runner Budhia Singh was not missing and is likely to return to the sports hostel here in the next four days.

Budhia’s mother told newsmen here that her son was with the family in Nayagarh.

"We are expecting that Budhia would return to the sports hostel in two to four days," Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Saswat Mishra said.

Besides Budhia, eight other sports persons had not returned to hostel after the summer vacations.

Budhia came to the limelight after he set a new Limca record by successfully running a marathon of 65 km from Puri to Bhubaneswar in seven hours in May, 2006 at the tender age of four.

Earlier, reports purported that Budhia was missing from the sports hostel.
