BCCI names Sanjay Bangar as India’s coach for Zimbabwe tour

New Delhi: Former Indian player Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the head coach of Indian Cricket team on Thursday for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe, which is set to start from June 11.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informs that ex-domestic cricketer Abhay Sharma has been named as fielding coach and former Indian player Koka Ramesh will be the administrative manager for Dhoni and brigade.

In Indian Premiere League, Bangar is the head coach of Kings XI Punjab.

BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke said-

  • Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team for the forthcoming tour to Zimbabwe, comprising 3 ODIs and as many T20s.
  • Abhay Sharma has been appointed as the fielding coach of the team.
  • BCCI has appointed Koka Ramesh and Zonal Secretary of the Andhra Cricket Association, as the Administrative Manager of the Indian team.

Several new faces have been added in the Indian team which will be guided by experienced MS Dhoni.
