Mumbai: Following the commendable performances of men’s and women’s Cricket teams in the recent times, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs 15 lakh for each selector.

The decision was made in a meeting joined by Committee of Administrators (CoA) and the BCCI's top office-bearers.

"The men's team selectors and the women's team selectors each have been awarded Rs 15 lakh for the good performance and selecting good teams," CoA member Diana Edulji told media persons.

It may be mentioned that the men’s Cricket team has been performing well consistently over the past two years and has also reached to the pole position in the ICC Test rankings. The team also reached into the final of the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Indian women’s team has also been exhibiting stupendous performance, especially in the recently concluded ICC Women's World Cup where they missed to create history by just nine runs in the final against England.
