Bharat Arun named the balling coach of Indian cricket team

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Tuesday, appointed Sanjay Bangar as the assistant coach and re-signed Bharat Arun as the bowling coach of Indian Cricket Team till next World Cup.

Sanjay Bhangar was the former batting coach of the team.

The announcement was made by the cricketing authority stating that the appointments were made till the 2019 ICC World Cup. R.Sridhar will continue to serve the team as the fielding coach.

The announcement came as a counter to the one made earlier regarding Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan's appointments in the Indian team support staff.

It could be recalled that Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) had earlier announced Rahul Dravid as the batting coach of the team while Zaheer Khan was appointed as the bowling coach.

I was clear in my head about my core team and you have just heard that," Shastri told reporters after meeting the newly-formed four-member Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), comprising acting President C.K.Khanna, acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary, Committee of Administrators (CoA) member Diana Edulji and board CEO Rahul Johri, here.

The nature of the roles of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid with the current Indian team is not clear yet. "All depends on their availability, it depends on individuals, the number of days they want to give but their inputs will be invaluable and they are most welcome. I have spoken to both of them personally," said Shatri.
