Bangar finds Zimbabwe tour as proving ground for young talents

New Delhi: Former Indian player Sanjay Bangar, who has been named as Indian Cricket team’s head coach for the tour of Zimbabwe, finds the contest as a chance for the young talents to put their best for proving themselves at International platform.

The temporary coach is very excited and is thankful to the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) for providing him with the huge honour.

Sanjay Bangar said-

  • The tour will provide youngsters an ideal opportunity to test themselves in international waters.
  • It gives them an opportunity to make a mark and keep knocking at the doors of the Indian team.

He added-

  • Conditions in Zimbabwe are bit challenging as compared to the other parts of the world.
  • We have to make sure that the players are very well prepared and equipped to counter the challenges.

Under the captaincy of shrewd MS Dhoni, India will be seen playing Zimbabwe from June 11. The series will constitute 3 ODIs and 3T20s.

Interestingly, MS Dhoni lastly played at Zimbabwe in 2005. So, the series will also be crucial in terms of MSD as a batsman.
