The Indian cricket team is constantly getting setbacks. For quite some time now, Mohammed Shami has been out of the Indian team due to injury. Recently, news of star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who performed brilliantly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, also getting injured had come to the fore. Now the news of another fast bowler of the Indian team being unfit has come to the fore. That bowler is Akash Deep. Fast bowler Akash Deep suffered a back injury before the fifth Test, which was confirmed by former cricketer Gautam Gambhir. Prasidh Krishna was included in his place in the last Test. Now the news is that due to injury, Akash Deep will not be able to participate in the knockout stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. According to the report, Akash Deep will also make his recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Akash Deep played 2 Test matches in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. In 4 innings of these two Test matches, he took 5 wickets at an average of 54.

According to the report, Jasprit Bumrah may be out of the ODI series starting against England from February 6. The team management is also concerned about his availability for the Champions Trophy 2025. The report states that Bumrah may be selected in the team for the tournament, but he may be out of the opening matches. He is expected to return in the knockouts. According to another report, Bumrah will soon consult the BCCI medical team and his personal doctor. The last time he was injured in 2022, he underwent surgery in New Zealand.
