New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Jesus Christ on the occasion of Good Friday and said that his life was devoted to mitigating human suffering.

The PM also took to twitter stating, "Today, we remember the service and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His was a life devoted to mitigating human suffering."

Other leaders of the nation also joined the PM and remembered the spirit of sacrifice.

Good Friday:

  • It is a solemn day that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
  • For Christians, it is the most sorrowful and sacred day of the year.
  • It is also referred as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday, or Easter Friday.
