New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath may campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi for the April 23 municipal elections.

Yogi is one among the 53 party leaders being considered as the star campaigners. BJP's election management committee, however, has kept Prime Minister Narendra Modi out of this list.

Other names in the list include the chief ministers of all party-ruled states - Manohar Parrikar (Goa), Trivendra Singh Rawat (Uttarakhand), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), Shivraj Singh Chauhan (Madhya Pradesh), Vasundhara Raje (Rajasthan), Raman Singh (Chhattisgarh), Raghubar Das (Jharkhand), and Sarbananda Sonowal (Assam).

Rajiv Babbar, vice-present of Delhi BJP unit said that there are a good number of voters in Delhi from other states. He said, "To establish a connect with them, the party has decided to bring leaders from other states for the campaigning."
