"People are presuming that Prime Minister Modi would not be there for long, but, I assure you that he will stay in politics for a long period of time,” she asserted.

There are leaders with whom I have worked within the organisation for the last 18 years. I also had the opportunity to work under leaders like Vajpayee and L K Advani", Smriti was quoted saying.

The Textile Minister, who contested against Congress president Rahul Gandhi in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls from Amethi, further said that the decision of whether she would contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the same seat or not, lies entirely with the party people.
