In Indian politics, certain leaders are similarly persistent in courting separatist sympathizers and enlisting their assistance in order to further their political objectives. There have been similar charges leveled. When politicians seek assistance from separatists, it is clear that they are not considering their own actions in the realm of direct or indirect terrorism. Such instances occur more often in Jammu and Kashmir, and the general public there is aware of them. However, the government was unable to apprehend such politicians since the political administration is controlled by these politicians themselves. In North-East India, there are several instances of a terrorist-politician relationship that exists.

Dawood Ibrahim's associates have ties to a wide range of political figures in Maharashtra. Both sides used to, and still do, assist one another in various ways. The charges leveled against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that he not only has ties to separatists but also has ambitions to become the Prime Minister of an independent Punjab have taken everyone by surprise. These claims were not made by any political party in opposition to the government.

If that were the case, it might have been brushed off as politically motivated malignancy. However, these claims have been made by Kumar Vishwas, a prominent leader in his party, and cannot be disregarded as readily as they could otherwise. Kumar Vishwas has been a close friend and confidant of Arvind Kejriwal. It also occurs on a regular basis that someone creates bogus claims against a well-known individual in order to achieve popularity. In such instances, the claims are unfounded and should be disregarded as well. However, this is not the case in the instance of Kumar Vishwas. On his own, he has already established himself as a well-known figure in Indian politics and literature. It is thus impossible to evade these accusations by just asserting that they are seeking fame in some way. These claims have to do with the country's security and integrity, among other things. Perhaps as a result of the sensitivity of the matter, the Chief Minister of Punjab has requested the Central Government to launch a thorough investigation into the claims.

Kejriwal, according to Kumar Vishwas, met with separatist militants during the 2017 Punjab assembly elections despite his reluctance to solicit support from these organizations for victory. What is concerning is that Kejriwal did not absolutely deny that he had had such meetings, despite being accused of doing so. Instead, they began attempting to find a way to get away from the initial problem. As Kejriwal puts it, he is "the world's first terrorist" since he constructs roads, schools, and hospitals, as well as provides free power, among other things. In other words, Kumar Vishwas's claim that Kejriwal had attended such a meeting is clear, incisive, and unambiguous in its presentation. As a result, Kejriwal must respond simply and promptly in the affirmative or negative. They, on the other hand, have been delaying responding. During the 2017 Punjab assembly elections, it was widely reported that separatists in the United States and Canada were lending their support to Kejriwal. To put it another way, and in a more positive light, it might be claimed that the separatists were using Kejriwal to carry out their scheme in Punjab. However, this was not a one-sided transaction.

Kejriwal was using separatists and terrorists in order to seize control of Punjab. Separatists based in Canada and the United States thought that as long as Prakash Singh Badal remained in power in Punjab, they would be unable to be defeated in the province. However, they were well aware that they would be unable to unseat Badal on their own since these separatists, who have shed blood in distant nations, do not have a base of operations in Punjab. He believed that what he could not do on his own, Kejriwal could accomplish on his behalf via his Aam Aadmi Party. This issue is surely going to impact the voting and votes of AAP in this election.
