Bengaluru: Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Anantkumar Hegde again created a new controversy when he said that the freedom struggle led by Mahatma Gandhi was a “drama”.
He targed The Father of Nation and said whatever he did was the part of Gandhiji’s tie up with Bristishers. He further added that his “blood boils” when he sees people like Gandhi called Mahatma.
“None of these so-called leaders were beaten up by the cops even once. Their independence movement was one big drama. It was staged by these leaders with the approval of the British. It was not a genuine fight. It was an adjustment freedom struggle,” Hegde said.
