New Delhi: Just before the West Bengal Assembly Elections, the BJP became even more powerful when Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty joined BJP. He Joined the party at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, just before PM Modi's rally.

He said that he wants to fight the battle of the poor. Talking to the media, he said that when I was 18 years old, I had dreamed that I would fight for the poor. They will be respected by them in the society. He said that I have faced every grievance in the world, so he knows what poverty is.
