Lucknow/Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik has sent a confidential report to President Pranab Mukerjee over the issue of Kairana exodus, Mathura violence and Dadri lynching.

"I had received three reports from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the issue of Jawaharbagh violence in Mathura, exodus of Hindu families from Kairana in Shamli and Dadri lynching in Greater Noida. I have gone through the reports thoroughly and have sent my 'confidential' report to President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday," Naik told newsmen in Kanpur on Sunday.

Naik was in Kanpur to attend a programme.

A release from the Rajbhawan later said, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had also apprised him that appropriate actions are being taken as per his advice against encroachment on government lands.

“A letter has been sent to the divisional commissioners through chief secretary seeking the report on encroachment on government lands,” the statement added.
