UP Polls: Nomination process for Phase 2 begins on Friday

Lucknow: The notification for the second phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election will be issued on Friday.

With this, the nominations in a total of 67 assembly constituencies spread over 11 districts will also commence.

These constituencies will go to polls in the second phase on February 15.

A total of 2.28cr voters including 1.23cr men, 1.23cr women and 1,068 third gender will cast the ballot during this phase.

The districts going to polls will be Farrukhabad, Mainpuri, Kanpur Dehat, Lucknow, Hardoi, Etawah, Kanpur Nagar, Barabanki, Kannauj, Auraiyya, Unnao and Sitapur.

The seven phase elections in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled in seven phases on February 11, 15, 19, 23, 27, March 4 and 8.

The counting of votes will take place on March 11.
