It is to be mentioned that the former UP CM en-routed to Auraiya where the workers were allegedly protesting against the police partiality and turned violent over not being allowed to accompany their candidate for the Zila panchayat chairpersons post to the nomination room at the Collectorate.

It is to be recalled that some SP leaders were also detained on Wednesday last following the scuffle between them and the police.
