SP forgets the birth anniversary of socialist Badrivishal Pitti
Lucknow: The ruling Samajwadi Party of Uttar Pradesh forgot to celebrate the birth anniversary of famous socialist ‘Lohiyaite’ leader Badrivishal Pitti on March 28.
His birth anniversary used to be a grand affair till last year. But this year party workers were zapped when no celebrations were held. Neither the SP Supremo nor the Chief Minister of UP Akhilesh Yadav seem to be bothered about remembering the great ‘Lohiyaite’ leader on his birth anniversary.
Grand function last year:
- There was a grand function on the occasion of Pitti’s birth anniversary last year at the Samajwadi Party office in the state capital.
- The SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav was also present at the event.
- The party chief, at the event, said that the party would only give tickets to those who follow the footsteps of Ram Manohar Lohia.
Involvement in protest against ‘Nizams’:
- Pitti participated in the ‘Quit India Movement’ at the age of fourteen and protested against the ‘Nizamshahi’ system.
