Shoe thrown at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at Haryana rally

Rohtak: In yet another embarrassment for the Delhi Chef Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a shoe was hurled at him while he was addressing Aam Aadmi Party's 'Tijoritod-Bhandapod' rally here on Sunday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation move.

Man, identified as Vikas Kumar of Dadri district, was sitting on the other side of the fence in the media section when he threw his shoe at the AAP convenor.

He, however, missed the target.

Vikas was taken into custody at the Urban Estate police station. The police said, "We are quizzing the man to know his intentions behind the act."

Kejriwal tagged the incident cowardice and accused PM Modi of sending stooges to humiliate me. He said, "If Modi comes for a faceoff with me, I will prove 'Modi chor hai, Modi rishwatkhor hai, Modi paise khata hai (Modi is a thief, Modi takes bribe)."
